Grow-Cook-Share

GROW-COOK-SHARE

Grow-Cook-Share is GROW’s family food-growing programme. It brings families together to grow food, cook, learn and connect with nature and each other on our agroecological farm.

The programme supports families who may not have access to a garden or safe green space at home, and who face financial or social barriers to accessing fresh food and nature. Sessions is designed to help local families build skills, confidence and connection, to each other, and the land.

Families join us on the farm across the growing season and into winter, taking part in hands-on, welcoming community sessions designed for all ages. Each family is supported to grow food in their own raised bed; learn practical, sustainable growing skills; cook and share seasonal meals together; care for nature through wildlife-friendly growing; and build friendships and community connections.

Sessions include seed sowing, planting, harvesting, nature activities for children, and cooking workshops using produce from the farm, and familes are able to visit the farm between sessions to care for their beds and spend time outdoors.

We know that access to nature, good food and community can have a powerful impact on wellbeing. Families tell us the programme helps them to:

  • Eat more fresh and healthy food

  • Feel less isolated

  • Build confidence outdoors

  • Learn new skills

  • Spend meaningful time together as a family

JOINING THE PROGRAME

Grow-Cook-Share is a funded programme with limited spaces, and families are usually referred through our partner organisations so we can prioritise those who would benefit most.

We are not currently recruiting for the 2026 cohort.

If you’d like to enquire about future spaces or learn more about the programme, please contact Eve (Community Projects Lead), eve@wearegrow.org.

We’re always happy to hear from families and local partners.
